The 2014 Thomasville Antiques Show and Sale marks the 25th anniversary of a Thomasville favorite.  Quality antiques help bring your home’s interior to a whole other level.  More than 30 of the country’s most respected antique dealers will be on hand selling fine jewelry, furniture, silver, paintings and much, much more.

The 2014 Thomasville Antiques Show and Sale benefits the Thomasville Antiques Show Foundation.  The foundation provides programs and scholarships for Thomas County children.  Please help them continue their efforts by visiting the antiques show this weekend.  The purchase of that perfect antique table for your Thomasville home’s foyer will help a graduating Thomas County high school student receive money for their college education.

Thomasville Movie and Dessert Night

Looking for something to do with your special someone this Valentine’s Day?  You’ve only got four days to make plans.  How about a Thomasville Movie and Dessert Night at The Bookshelf?

All guests at Thomasville Movie and Dessert Night will enjoy a screening of that Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan romantic comedy classic “You’ve Got Mail” in the shops of The Bookshelf’s upstairs area.  Local favorite Marie’s Kakes will be providing their tasty, custom confections to nosh on while watching the movie.  Take home a momento of your fun evening by stopping at the photo booth set up inside the store.  Friends, lovers or friends who are lovers are welcome to join Thomasville’s The Bookshelf for a fun evening out on Valentine’s Day.

Thomasville Father Daughter Dance 2014

The first relationship a girl ever has with a member of the opposite sex is the one she has with her father.  This helps set the tone of what to expect in future relationships.  That’s why it’s important for fathers to spend one-on-one time with their little girls from the time they are wee lasses until they become young women and beyond.  One such opportunity to cultivate your relationship with your little girl is the Thomasville Father Daughter Dance 2014.

The Thomasville Father Daughter Dance 2014 is the very first one of its kind being held at St Thomas Episcopal Church.  All proceeds from the dance with allow the local Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society to build a brand new exercise yard for the animals they shelter there.  All fathers and their daughters will enjoy music from the 70s, 80s and 90s up until present day thanks to the talents of the live DJ that evening.  The price of admission includes hors d’ouevres and plenty to drink (non-alcoholic, of course).  You can wear your Sunday best or formal wear…your choice.  Capture the magic of the evening with a photograph taken by a professional photographer.
